Frequently asked questions
If you cannot find an answer to your question, please contact us here.

1. How do I access the virtual event?
On the day of the event, log in and select the ‘Watch live’ tab. The stream will start 30 minutes before the first session.

2. What if I have forgotten my password, cannot find it, or would like to update it?
If you are unable to locate your password, please click the 'Log in' button in the top right-hand corner of the website and then click "Forgotten password". You will receive an email with a link to reset your password.

3. What should I do if the page is not responding when I try to login?
If you are currently using Internet Explorer, please try to log in from Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. If you continue to have problems logging in or are already using one of the suggested browsers, please email the team.

4. Will I be able to ask questions and communicate with the speakers?
The live sessions are designed to be interactive and engaging and will allow for plenty of opportunities to interact with the speakers, take part in polling activities and submit your questions during the sessions.

5. What happens to my question if I’m unable to get an answer during the Q&A sessions?
Following the event, DBS will share a document addressing the most frequently asked questions, which will be accessible to all registered stakeholders. For more specific enquiries, stakeholders can contact us at [email protected]. For safeguarding-related queries, please reach out to our Regional Outreach team at [email protected].

6. If I cannot attend on the day, can I still access content on demand?
Absolutely. On-demand access to conference content will be available exclusively to registered stakeholders after the event. We strongly encourage registration—even if you’re unable to attend live—so you can benefit from the full range of resources and sessions.

7. Do I need to attend all sessions if I’m registering for the conference?
Not at all. The DBS Annual Conference is designed to be flexible, allowing stakeholders to engage with the sessions that are most relevant to them. You’re welcome to pick and choose the content that best suits your interests and needs.

8. What if I want to share this event with a colleague?
If you would like to nominate a colleague to attend, please ask them to start registration here.

9. How do I test my connection?
We recommend that you use wired headphones for the best viewing experience and have a stable connection. For further details, please read the technical support guide.
